HOW TO MAKE A CLASSIC RYE WHISKEY MANHATTAN

I make for you today: The Manhattan.  This cocktail is made with whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters. The most used whiskeys include rye, Canadian whisky, bourbon, blended whiskey, and of course, Tennessee whiskey.

Today, we'll be using Sazerac Rye Whiskey.

Rye Whiskey Manhattan Recipe:

Chill a cocktail glass; set aside.
In a mixing glass over 'good' ice pour in...

  • 5 parts Rye Whiskey (#SazeracaRye)

  • 2 parts Sweet Vermouth

  • 3 dashes Angostura Bitters (#AngosturaBitters)

( ( ( STIR ) ) ) for twelve (12) seconds.
Seriously--it makes a difference...

Dump the ice in your cocktail glass and drop in an Italian Amarena stemless cherry.

Place a julep strainer over the mixing glass and pour over into your cocktail glass.

Enjoy!
