Introducing the Caribbean Mule; just in time for the Kentucky Derby!

Now, by no means am I saying classics like the Kentucky Mule and Mint Julep are played out.  I'm simply saying at times one wants something new and refreshing that compliments the old.  So, I'm introducing you all to the Caribbean Mule; just in time for the Kentucky Derby!

Check out the how-to video below!

{I know many build their mules over ice however, I was always taught (many, many years ago...) that anything with citrus should be shaken, hence my shake-n-shimmy.}

Caribbean Mule Recipe

  • Half oz. of:

    • Blanco Tequila

    • Black Spiced Rum

    • Añejo Gold Rum (I used Flor de Caña 4-years)

    • 3/4 oz. Lime Juice

( ( ( SHAKE ) ) )

  • Pour into a frozen glass mug

  • Top with 2 oz. of Ginger Beer

  • Garnish with cherries, strawberries and a sprig of mint

¡Salud! Enjoy!
